Carrying on our founding spirit into the future,
we stand together with everyone in their challenges

People grow through challenges and find hope for tomorrow.

Gakken Group’s founder, Hideto Furuoka, established Gakushu Kenkyusha based on his strong belief that "education is the only way for postwar reconstruction" after seeing how Japan was devastated in World War II.
He wanted to create educational materials for children who did not have access to satisfactory textbooks.
Our starting point, a magazine called Gakushu, was born out of this desire.

Over the past 70 years, the Gakken Group has evolved into an organization that creates content and services for the enrichment of all people, centered on the two core industries of education and medical welfare.

What has remained unchanged is our founding spirit of creating “something from nothing" and "for people and for the world.”

Bridging this unchanging spirit to the future,
we are creating a society where all people can dream,
and where we can continue to be a company that helps you to rise higher and go further.

To this end, we promise to boldly lead the way by pursuing our dreams.

We look forward to your continued support and guidance.
